YVR Update: Temporary change to runway use at YVR

You may be aware, but we would like to inform you of a temporary change to runway use at YVR.

Due to the evolving and ongoing construction work on the north airfield, YVR’s North Runway is temporarily being used for departures during its regular operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while arrivals take place on the South Runway. As a reminder, YVR operates a dual runway system, with aircraft typically using the South Runway for departures and North Runway for arrivals.

As a result of this temporary shift, some communities surrounding the airport – including Burkeville! – may experience changes to noise from aircraft movements.  

Our teams are working safely and as quickly as possible to return to regular runway operations.
