***BREAKING UPDATE:

We have received word from our contractor teams this morning that due to staffing, the Russ Baker Overpass work originally planned for Thursday night (tonight) and Friday night, have now been moved to Friday night and Saturday night.

Work hours will remain the same, from midnight to 5 a.m., but have just pushed work back one day.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

lease feel free to send an email to Community_Relations@yvr.ca with questions or concerns.

Please be advised that there is upcoming overnight maintenance and paving work that contractors will be undertaking across Sea Island this week overnight.

Repair work on Arthur Laing

  • Overnight on both Tuesday (tonight) and Wednesday, from 10:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., there will be a single lane closure southbound on the Arthur Laing Bridge while crews assess underneath the bridge following a barge with a crane on it struck the bridge on February 13.

Russ Baker Way Overpass Paving

  • On May 28 and 29, our contractor will be closing the Russ Baker overpass from Arthur Laing to Russ Baker Way from midnight to 5:00 a.m. to conduct paving works. This will see drivers heading to Richmond and Burkeville via Arthur Laing continue driving along Grant McConachie Way,  then turn on Templeton, and then Miller to rejoin Russ Baker.

We recommend allowing extra travel time during overnight hours and thank you for your patience while this work is completed.
