City of Richmond (CoR) Miller/Wellington Alleyway Upgrade Project 2026: New Curb Lane Parking Bypass

New Curb Lane Parking Bypass

• In response to increased traffic congestion and increased dangerous driving on Miller Road, the city is making the following changes to Miller Road parking:

  • Create a curb lane bypass near the left turn onto the Sea Island on ramp. (6920-7000 Miller)

  • Add approximately 50 metres of parking west of the existing parking zone. (See map)

These changes are intended to reduce congestion, support safer merging behaviour, and maintain parking availability where feasible.

***NOTE: City staff will continue to monitor the area after implementation to assess traffic conditions and determine whether any further adjustments are required.
