Augustus—who you may know affectionately as "Gus”—wants to be your next Burkeville Mayor. You have likely seen, or even met this big orange cat if you live near the South end of Douglas. He’s been seen walking to the park with his family, roaming further on his own occasionally. You may have seen Gus sleeping under your deck, lounging in your yard, or even possibly paying you a visit in your home. No other candidate puts in this kind of community time, giving love and company to our wonderful citizens—whether you like it or not! No other candidate will stand up unafraid to the dangers and annoyances that lurk among us. Augustus for mayor! Augustus for Burkeville!

This is Beau-beau. He is a 2 year old Ragdoll and he is running as an Independent Cat. Although he is mainly an indoor cat, he insists on going out for 2 walks per day. His favorite activities are climbing trees and chasing mice.

Dusty is a three year old beagle who has lived in Burkeville his whole life. He is a very caring, loving and interactive dog. Dusty loves to go on walks and meet dogs and humans. He has smelled every bush and ditch in the neighbourhood and knows what is going on. If Dusty gets elected as mayor he will make dog parties for people and dogs to interact and play. He is looking forward to seeing you in the neighbourhood. VOTE FOR DUSTY!!!

Murphy previously served as the Acting Mayor of Abbotsford for four months before joining his forever family in Burkeville. He is thrilled to be part of such a dog friendly community and eager to get involved in gardening, watching planes, decorating for holidays and meeting neighbors. When not distracted by chasing his tail (yes, really) he strives to spread paw-sitivity one lick and sit at a time.

Pips is a 13 year old Jack-Chi (Jack Russel + Chihuahua) cross who has no eyes, 8 out of 27 teeth and has diabetes. She doesn’t dwell on these things and still has plenty of puppy energy! She is living her best life! :D
